Tom Lee Pitches Ethereum as the Ultimate AI Layer

Tom Lee recently pointed to a new BlackRock report to argue that Ethereum is set to become the most important base layer for artificial intelligence. BlackRock recently published a paper examining Bitcoin and market capital flows. Lee took those findings and argued on social media that rapid advancements in artificial intelligence and robotics make blockchain verification essential.

Lee believes that smart contracts and foundational blockchains will help humans oversee autonomous systems. He called Ethereum the most important layer one network to watch. It is worth noting that BlackRock did not mention Ethereum or robotics in its original paper. Instead, BlackRock focused on how capital rotated into artificial intelligence equity funds during recent market shifts.

Lee remains one of the largest institutional stakeholders in Ethereum through his company, Bitmine Immersion Technologies. Ethereum currently trades near $1,908.
