Cash App Adds Support For Ether, Solana, And XRP via MoonPay

Cash App users in the United States gained the ability to purchase a wide variety of digital assets using their app balances on Tuesday. Through a new integration with MoonPay, eligible customers can now use Cash App Pay at checkout to buy tokens that Block has traditionally avoided listing directly on its own platform.

While Cash App has famously stuck to bitcoin and a recent rollout of USDC, the partnership opens the door to top altcoins like ether, solana, and XRP. Buyers can send their newly purchased tokens directly into self custody wallets such as MetaMask, Ledger, Trust Wallet, and Uniswap. Block representatives noted that while bitcoin stays central to their strategy, the goal is to give users more choice and flexibility.

This move gives MoonPay direct access to a funded wallet with tens of millions of active users in the United States. Traders looking for smoother ways to fund altcoin purchases from mainstream finance apps should keep an eye on how adoption grows over the coming weeks as more users test the checkout flow.
