LIVECardano has enjoyed a solid month, rising 15% as large investors moved to accumulate assets early in August. Prices climbed toward $0.21 before cooling off to the current $0.187 mark. While the recent momentum was positive, traders are now bracing for a potential reversal.
Market analyst Ali Martinez suggests a deeper correction could be on the horizon. His data shows that large holders are currently taking profits, with the number of whales holding between 1 million and 10 million ADA dropping recently. Technical indicators like the TD Sequential have also printed a sell signal, while a death cross between the MVRV ratio and the 7 day moving average points toward further weakness.
The outlook for ADA is also complicated by recent news from Grayscale, which withdrew its filing for a Cardano focused ETF. This decision disappointed investors who hoped for increased institutional demand. If the current downward trend continues, the asset could see support levels near $0.17 or even $0.144.
Despite these risks, there are a few reasons for optimism. ADA exchange outflows have recently exceeded inflows, which suggests that many holders are moving coins into self custody rather than dumping them on exchanges. Additionally, the Relative Strength Index has hit 25, putting the token in oversold territory, which some traders view as a potential entry point for a rebound.
