The plan, currently in draft phase as TIP 899, introduces new signing schemes to protect against future quantum computing threats. While this is an important security step, the current design means that if the network governance decides to disable an old signing scheme, some account holders might find themselves unable to modify their account permissions or replace their keys.
The core issue involves how TRON manages account authority. Permissions are tied to specific key thresholds.
