LIVETRON has cemented itself as a massive engine for stablecoin transfers. During the second quarter of 2026, the network moved $2.1 trillion in USDT. The total supply of stablecoins on the network reached a record $89.2 billion, with Tether accounting for nearly all of that total. Daily active addresses also hit new highs, showing that millions of users rely on the chain for everyday payments.
Despite this heavy usage, the on chain economy is showing signs of a slowdown. Total value locked in decentralized finance protocols on the network fell by nearly 2 percent during the quarter. Decentralized exchange volumes also dropped by more than 20 percent, marking the fourth consecutive quarter of decline for trading activity on the platform.
The disconnect between record utility and stagnant price action is a major talking point for investors. While network fees rose to nearly $700 million, the price of TRX remained flat, currently trading near $0.33. The market is now waiting to see if this dominance in stablecoin payments will eventually create more value for the native token or if the current trend of heavy use without speculation will persist.
