Hardware wallet maker Trezor is alerting 67,000 American customers that their personal information was leaked in a data breach. The incident stems from ShipMonk, a former shipping partner that held onto customer order records from 2019 through 2021 despite promises to delete them.

The exposed data includes names, email addresses, phone numbers, and physical mailing addresses. Trezor confirmed that the breach happened entirely within the shipping company's systems, meaning no Trezor hardware wallets or internal servers were compromised.

Trezor says it received multiple written assurances from ShipMonk that the data had been wiped per their contract. The company is now urging affected users to be extra careful regarding phishing attempts and potential physical security risks related to their home addresses.
