LIVETaoWeave, previously known as Oblong, changed direction on its long term accumulation strategy for Bittensor tokens. New filings show the company sold nearly 4,000 tokens during the first half of the year to manage liquidity and pay operating expenses. The sales brought in $1.172 million and resulted in a net realized loss of $114,000.
This move marks a shift from previous plans to direct capital heavily toward buying and holding the asset. At the end of June, the company held over 23,000 tokens worth roughly $4.7 million, which made up the vast majority of its total assets. While staking generated some revenue during the period, cash needs ultimately forced the token sales.
Management stated that more tokens could be sold in the future depending on cash requirements and market prices, since the firm has no separate credit facility. Traders should watch company filings and cash burn rates closely to see how future market conditions impact token treasuries.
