Strategy has executed another Bitcoin sale, parting with 1,690 BTC for $108.6 million. The company used these funds to repurchase its variable rate preferred stock, known as STRC. This move comes as the firm attempts to keep the share price near its 100 dollar par value, which the market has struggled to maintain despite the stock offering a 12 percent dividend.

This sale marks two consecutive weeks of net selling for the firm. Strategy conducted these transactions between August 3 and August 9 at an average price of 64,262 dollars per coin. While the company holds a massive treasury of 840,447 BTC, these recent disposals are occurring below its average purchase price of 75,385 dollars per coin, meaning the company is locking in losses on the assets sold.

Beyond selling Bitcoin, the firm raised 653.1 million dollars through the sale of 6.5 million MSTR shares. This capital has been directed into its USD reserve, which now sits at 4.65 billion dollars. Executive chairman Michael Saylor framed the activity as a credit management exercise designed to extend the duration of the firm's cash reserves and support its capital structure.

Investors are now watching to see if these weekly sales will persist or if the firm will return to its previous strategy of constant Bitcoin accumulation. For now, the company remains focused on closing the price gap on its STRC shares, leaving shareholders to track whether this treasury management plan succeeds in stabilizing the stock long term.
