LIVESpaceX reported a significant decrease in the value of its Bitcoin holdings during the first half of 2026. According to a recent filing with the SEC, the company saw its digital asset position fall from $1.637 billion at the end of 2025 to $1.098 billion by June 30, 2026. This represents a total loss of roughly $539 million in fair market value over the six month period.
The decline follows a rough stretch for Bitcoin prices, which fell about 33% during the same timeframe. While the loss is notable, the company still maintains a strong overall position. SpaceX currently holds 18,712 Bitcoin with an unrealized profit of $437 million, marking a total gain of over 66% since the company first began purchasing the asset.
Despite the recent dip, SpaceX remains a major player in the corporate crypto space. The company holds more Bitcoin than other industry giants like Coinbase, Tesla, and Trump Media. Investors will be watching to see if the firm holds onto its significant treasury stake as the market works to recover from its recent slump.
