LIVESolana is moving closer to a major economic makeover as two key supply proposals hit a live governance clock. The proposals, known as SGP 0002 and SGP 0003, passed their initial 15 percent stake support thresholds after receiving heavy backing from major network participants. Records show that Helius and Jupiter led the charge by backing the initiatives with millions of staked tokens.
The first proposal aims to speed up token disinflation by doubling the annual reduction rate from 15 percent to 30 percent. Proponents state this change would help the network reach its terminal inflation target of 1.5 percent in under three years instead of the currently projected timeline. Meanwhile, the second proposal overhauls how transaction fees work by burning resource fees in full, a move that could significantly increase the daily token burn rate.
Both discussion periods are scheduled to run until August 22, after which the community will move toward an official governance vote. If approved, the changes will need to be implemented on chain before any tokenomics take effect. Traders and stakers should watch the voting process closely because these adjustments could heavily impact staking yields and validator economics.
