Schwab Renames Crypto ETF With AI Label as Trump Media Hits No. 2

Charles Schwab recently renamed its crypto stock exchange traded fund, adding a focus on the software that picks its holdings. The fund, which trades under the ticker STCE, now includes Natural Language Processing in its name. While the fee remains at 0.30 percent and the core strategy is intact, the update highlights how the fund selects its basket of crypto adjacent stocks.

Following the software scan, Trump Media and Technology Group secured the number two spot in the fund holdings at 5.77 percent. Bitdeer Technologies took the top position. The inclusion of Trump Media stems from its digital treasury plans and keywords that automated text readers catch in company filings. The fund explicitly warns that this selection method can sometimes pick companies whose main business sits outside traditional digital assets.

Crypto miners and software companies make up the rest of the fund, with software stocks growing from 27 percent to 61 percent over four years. The fund reconstructs its portfolio every three months. Traders are now watching to see if Trump Media maintains its high ranking in the next portfolio refresh.
