LIVEBitcoin open interest has surged to a local high over the past two months while the price itself remains stuck in a tight trading range. The net buildup of new futures positions has climbed to roughly 750,000 bitcoin, which is valued at nearly $48 billion. This steady growth points to a fresh wave of speculative trading across major derivatives platforms.
Binance led the pack with the highest growth in open interest, followed closely by fresh capital inflows on Gate.io and Bybit. At the same time, funding rates have stayed mostly positive. This shows that traders are holding a bullish outlook despite the ongoing price consolidation between $58,550 and $66,300.
Traders should watch the market closely for any sudden moves outside of the current price range. With so much leverage building up in the system, a sharp breakout in either direction could trigger heavy liquidations and spark fast price action across the board.
