LIVERipple has received a major regulatory boost after obtaining a Crypto Asset Service Provider license from regulators in Luxembourg. This approval allows the company to provide payment services across all 30 countries in the European Economic Area. By operating under this framework, institutional clients can now handle currency exchanges and cross border payments with greater legal certainty.
This regulatory progress comes alongside a significant rise in activity on the XRP Ledger. The total number of accounts on the network recently hit a new all time high, climbing to over 8.48 million. On chain data also shows a sharp spike in transaction volume, which doubled in the first week of August alone. Investors are taking note as the network handles over 4 billion dollars in represented asset value.
Beyond basic transactions, Ripple is busy expanding its ecosystem. The recent launch of Ripple Mint for institutional stablecoin management, combined with new lending protocols and developer tools, suggests the company is focused on long term utility. With more than 70 regulatory licenses worldwide, Ripple is betting that this combination of legal compliance and technical growth will bring more institutional capital to the XRP Ledger.
