LIVEMicroStrategy is taking a breather from its aggressive Bitcoin buying spree. The company reported that its total stash of 840,447 BTC remains unchanged following some sales earlier in August. This massive reserve is currently valued at roughly 53.3 billion dollars. While the firm did not add to its crypto holdings this time, it did bolster its cash position by 150 million dollars.
Beyond its crypto assets, the company has been busy managing its corporate balance sheet. The firm repurchased 132 million dollars worth of its own shares, known as STRC. These shares have been on a recovery path recently, trading near 95 dollars after a dip down to 75 dollars. Despite the rebound, the price is still trailing slightly behind its 100 dollar par value.
Investors looking at the long term should note that the company is not moving away from its core strategy. Executives have already signaled that they intend to resume buying Bitcoin before the end of the year. For now, the market can take comfort in the fact that the largest corporate holder of the digital asset is holding onto its massive position instead of selling.
