Kraken Sets August 27 Deadline for 21 Delisted Tokens
Crypto holders have until August 27 to withdraw 21 delisted tokens from Kraken before the exchange starts automatic liquidations.
coinbeat.newsCrypto holders have until August 27 at 14:00 UTC to withdraw 21 delisted tokens from Kraken before the exchange takes over the exit process. Trading and deposits for these assets already stopped earlier, and missing this upcoming withdrawal deadline means losing control over when the assets are sold.
Kraken plans to automatically liquidate any remaining balances between September 1 and September 5 based on prevailing market conditions. The exchange issued a warning that several of the affected tokens have limited or inactive markets, which could lead to liquidation prices sitting significantly below recent reference prices, or even producing minimal to zero proceeds due to thin order books.
One specific token, TEER, faces an extra hurdle because the project has stopped operations and on chain transactions fail to go through, so trading and funding remain paused. For all other affected tokens, including AURA, BIT, BOND, BSX, and others, users should check their balances and move any funds to self custody wallets before the August 27 cutoff if they want to avoid automatic sales.
