JST Hits Major Deflationary Milestone With Record Burn

The JUST platform hit a significant milestone on July 17 by completing its fourth buyback and burn event. The team removed more than 355 million JST tokens from circulation, which accounts for roughly 3.59% of the total supply. With a total value exceeding $34.59 million, this round shattered previous records and far surpassed what many traders expected.

This aggressive reduction was powered by a dual engine approach. It combined the standard Q2 2026 buyback, funded entirely by JustLend DAO protocol revenue, with an additional one time burn of historical USDJ stability fees. This strategy removed significantly more tokens than previous quarterly events, which typically averaged around $20 million in value.

Since the buyback program launched in October 2025, the ecosystem has permanently removed over 1.71 billion JST tokens from the market. That represents more than 17% of the total supply in just nine months. This consistent constriction of supply has helped the token reach price levels not seen since late 2021.

Moving forward, market participants will likely watch to see if this deflationary pressure continues to drive price action. With the integration of new features like the SBM V2 lending protocol and expanded access via Binance Wallet, the DAO is focusing on maintaining its eight figure quarterly revenue, which remains the primary fuel for these ongoing buybacks.
