LIVECrypto traders will soon get direct exposure to traditional equities through crypto rails. Deribit, the derivatives exchange operated by Coinbase, has announced plans to launch perpetual contracts for popular stocks including MicroStrategy, Robinhood, and SPCX. The official rollout is scheduled for August 31.
This move forms part of a wider push into real world asset products. The exchange also plans to migrate its international derivatives traffic over to the Deribit platform as part of these structural updates.
Perpetual contracts on stocks allow market participants to speculate on price movements around the clock without holding the underlying shares. Analysts will watch to see if this hybrid approach pulls traditional finance volume into crypto native infrastructure as the summer trading schedule wraps up.
