LIVEGrayscale Investments has officially withdrawn its SEC registrations for three major crypto exchange traded funds. The asset manager filed Form RW documents to pull S 1 submissions for its proposed Cardano, Hedera, and Polkadot trusts. The company stated it has no plans to move forward with the fund distributions.
Following the news, the prices of ADA, HBAR, and DOT all dropped over a 24 hour period. Grayscale confirmed that none of the registration statements were ever declared effective, meaning no securities were sold or issued to investors. These filings originally went public late last year during a major wave of altcoin ETF proposals.
The broader crypto market continues to face a tough environment this year. Reports show that digital assets are trailing behind traditional stocks and precious metals. Traders should watch how altcoin markets react to shifting regulatory plans and lower institutional interest for non Bitcoin products.
