LIVEGrayscale Chief Executive Officer Peter Mintzberg filed paperwork to sell 2,611 shares of the firm trust product, valued at roughly $53,394 based on a price of $20.45 per share. Cantor Fitzgerald will handle the sale on NYSE Arca. Mintzberg originally acquired the shares through a private transaction back in October 2024, shortly after stepping into his role at the company.
This filing follows similar moves by other Grayscale insiders earlier in the year. Digital Currency Group founder Barry Silbert and Chief Legal Officer Craig Salm also filed intentions to sell shares they bought during the same autumn window in 2024. Market watchers note that the trust float has decreased by about half over the past six months, dropping to 2.84 million shares while total assets trail behind competing funds.
Traders are keeping a close eye on trust liquidity and overall spot product flows as broader market conditions shift. XRP itself trades around $1.07, down significantly from its peak earlier in July 2025. Investors will watch for any follow up filings to see if the planned sale is completed in the coming days.
