Galaxy Digital to Build New 74 MW Data Center in Texas

Galaxy Digital just announced plans to build a major data center in McGregor, Texas. The company purchased 500 acres of land to house the facility. This site will focus on artificial intelligence infrastructure with a starting capacity of 74 megawatts.

The project is currently in the early stages, with power delivery expected to begin in 2028. Galaxy Digital also included room for future expansion beyond the initial 74 megawatts as the project progresses.

This move shows how major crypto firms are shifting their focus toward infrastructure that supports high demand computing. By securing space for AI operations, the firm is positioning itself to benefit from the growing intersection between digital assets and artificial intelligence hardware.
