Ex OpenAI Researcher Bets on Brain Controlled AI Coding

Naomi Bashkansky, who recently left OpenAI, has joined the company Conduit as a founding researcher. She is focusing on technology that converts non invasive brain recordings into text instructions for AI systems. In a recent essay, she predicted that users could eventually wear headbands to turn their thoughts into coding commands for AI agents within the next few years.

Conduit is currently building a large dataset by collecting neuro language data from thousands of participants. The company claims that training performance increases as they gather more hours of data. While the project is ambitious, researchers in the field note that creating portable and accurate brain to text systems remains a difficult technical challenge that has not yet been proven in the real world.

This move highlights the growing interest in brain computer interfaces, a sector that is also attracting attention from major crypto firms like Tether.
