Ethereum ETFs Post Strong Inflows as Bitcoin Funds Bleed Assets

Institutional investors are showing a fresh appetite for Ethereum. Over the past seven days, spot Ethereum ETFs brought in 37,959 ETH. Meanwhile, Bitcoin ETFs headed in the opposite direction, shedding 3,170 BTC over the same period. BlackRock drove most of this action, with its Ethereum fund seeing massive gains while its Bitcoin fund took the biggest hit.

BlackRock's ETHA fund led the charge for Ethereum, pulling in 37,424 ETH. This push helped Ethereum ETFs secure their third straight weekly inflow, showing a steady rise in institutional demand. Even though Fidelity's Ethereum fund lost 4,980 ETH, gains in Grayscale's products helped keep the weekly net flow strongly positive. Outside of ETFs, companies like BitMine and SharpLink Gaming are also expanding their Ethereum holdings.

Over on the Bitcoin side, BlackRock's IBIT lost 3,511 BTC, which accounted for most of the weekly decline. Minor outflows from Grayscale and Bitwise added to the dip, though Fidelity and ARK 21Shares managed to offset a tiny fraction of the losses. Despite the fund outflows, Bitcoin's price held strong and traded near $63,900, up about 4% on the week.

While Bitcoin ETFs still hold a massive lead with over $76 billion in total assets compared to Ethereum's $9.72 billion, the latest trend shows capital is actively exploring ether. With Ethereum trading around $1,913, market watchers will be keeping a close eye on whether this shift in institutional funding is a temporary phase or the start of a longer trend.
