Cathie Wood recently drew attention to LayerZero, arguing that many investors fail to understand the importance of its cross chain messaging technology. She specifically praised the founding team for their vision in solving communication gaps between different networks. Currently, LayerZero supports over 170 networks, allowing them to relay verified messages effectively.

ARK Invest research suggests that LayerZero holds a strong position in the sector, claiming 44% of total cross chain volume during the first half of 2026. Analysts at the firm believe the protocol is building critical infrastructure as more real world assets move onto the blockchain. However, the project faces stiff competition from established players like Circle and Chainlink.

Despite this high profile endorsement, ZRO token prices have struggled recently with a 6% dip. While the token is still up 36% over the past month, it remains far below its peak from late 2024. Investors should keep a close watch on future token unlocks, which continue to add to the circulating supply and create downward price pressure.

It is worth noting that ARK Invest maintains a financial interest in both LayerZero Labs and the ZRO token. As the market evaluates these claims, observers are waiting to see if future fee data confirms the revenue projections set out by the firm.
