Canary Capital saw steady interest in its Canary XRP ETF during the first half of the year, but market conditions told a rougher story. Regulatory filings show that net asset values dropped from 322.8 million dollars down to 241.2 million dollars between December and June. Even though new share transactions brought in a net boost of 82.3 million dollars, falling token prices caused a massive 164 million dollar accounting decrease.

Despite the drop in total dollar value, the fund actually accumulated more digital assets over the period. Holdings grew from 175.6 million tokens up to 231.3 million tokens by the end of June. This means the fund held more units overall, but the lower market price dragged down the total worth of the portfolio.

Traders should watch how token prices react to these shifting market dynamics. While institutional interest through exchange traded funds shows steady demand, broader price action will dictate whether these funds can bounce back in the second half of the year.
