Bitcoin bridge service Boltz has officially shut down its swap product. The team noted that while its non custodial structure successfully protected user funds throughout the ordeal, the company could no longer keep pace with a surge of automated, AI assisted exploits. Boltz decided to halt operations rather than continue absorbing losses from these persistent attacks.

This incident highlights a growing issue in the industry where small development teams struggle to defend against industrial scale AI threats. While tech giants like Google use AI to automate bug detection and patching, smaller projects often lack the resources to maintain that same speed.
