Bitcoin miners appear to be selling off their holdings again. Recent data shows that two of the largest players in the industry, MARA and Riot Platforms, have deposited a combined 581 BTC into the NYDIG exchange platform. These moves suggest that companies are looking to offload assets following the recent climb in the price of Bitcoin above $64,000.

MARA, which holds over 36,000 BTC, moved 200 units worth approximately $12.8 million. Meanwhile, Riot Platforms deposited 381 BTC valued at around $24.5 million. This activity follows a wider trend from earlier this year, where miners disposed of 32,000 units during the first quarter. Such selling often creates downward pressure on the market.

While these larger companies are adjusting their positions, the landscape remains difficult for smaller miners. Poolin recently filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and is looking to sell its Texas mining facilities. As miners continue to deal with high costs and market volatility, traders should watch for further exchange deposits that could signal additional selling pressure.

Despite these hurdles, the network remains active. A solo miner recently beat the odds to successfully solve a block, taking home the 3.125 BTC reward. This remains a reminder of the competitive nature of the mining sector even as industrial firms work to manage their balance sheets.
