LIVEUS spot Bitcoin exchange traded funds suffered a brutal $265.4 million in net outflows on July 31. This sharp reversal wiped out optimism from the previous session. Every major Bitcoin fund listed showed flat or negative movement. BlackRock led the losses with its IBIT fund shedding $122.7 million. Fidelity lost $54.8 million and Grayscale lost $52.6 million.
Ethereum products managed a modest $9 million net inflow on the same day, but the headline number hides a fragile reality. BlackRock's staked Ethereum fund pulled in $15.4 million, which single handedly kept the category in positive territory. Without that specific product, the entire Ethereum group would have finished the day in the red. Other Ether funds suffered combined losses of $6.4 million.
Broader market sentiment remained soft as prices drifted downward. Bitcoin traded near $62,958 after a 2.09 percent drop over 24 hours, while Ethereum slipped to $1,868. Traders hoping for a major market rotation from Bitcoin into Ethereum need to watch for wider participation. For now, the data shows isolated demand for a single staked product rather than a lasting shift in capital.
