LIVEBinance has seen a significant jump in its Bitcoin reserves, which have grown by 77,000 coins since late April. This puts the total balance on the exchange at over 693,000 BTC. This volume represents about 30 percent of the total Bitcoin held across all major exchanges, marking a two year record for the platform.
The rise in reserves is drawing attention because large inflows to exchanges often signal that traders might be preparing to sell. Analysts suggest several reasons for this move, including users shifting assets to Binance for its deep liquidity or seeking a secure home for their coins following recent security scares with third party providers. Additionally, Binance previously committed to building up its Secure Asset Fund for Users, which involves holding more Bitcoin.
While the stockpile is large, it does not guarantee a sell off. Current market data shows that long term holders are taking fewer profits compared to the peaks seen in August. The market is currently focused on the 83,000 to 86,000 dollar resistance zone, where many investors may look to break even if prices climb higher.
Investors are now keeping a close eye on trading volume and liquidity. A push back above the 80,000 dollar mark remains the primary target for many to restore market momentum. For now, the crypto community is waiting to see if these reserves remain stagnant or if the recent inflows start to hit the order books.
