XRP Ledger Upgrade Stalls as Validator Support Hovers Below 80%

The XRP Ledger is waiting on a key technical upgrade called the BatchV1_1 amendment, but it still has a way to go before going live. Currently, validator support for the upgrade is sitting at 68.57 percent, which is well below the threshold needed to trigger activation.

To actually roll out the upgrade, the network needs at least 80 percent of its validators to vote in favor. Even then, the vote has to hold steady above that 80 percent mark for a full 14 days before the changes are officially implemented.

This Batch amendment is designed to improve transaction efficiency on the network. While the community is keen to see these upgrades, the voting process ensures that any changes to the ledger are carefully vetted and agreed upon by a clear majority of the network's operators. XRP holders should keep an eye on validator voting charts over the coming weeks to see if the support builds up to that crucial 80 percent line.
