XRP Ledger Hits 1.4 Million Agentic Transactions

The XRP Ledger is gaining serious momentum in the AI sector. As of July 22, the network reached over 1.4 million agentic transactions using the x402 Protocol. This marks a jump of 127 percent since the service launched, signaling that AI agents are increasingly using the ledger to handle automated payments.

This growth is supported by 129 merchants actively using the network. These AI agents have already settled over 4,400 XRP and nearly 1,900 Ripple USD tokens for services like trading data and social media APIs. Low transaction fees remain a major draw, allowing the network to manage high volumes of automated activity without performance issues.

The project is also seeing a broader rise in user participation. The total number of addresses on the XRP Ledger has reached over 8.4 million. Experts suggest this is only the beginning, with some anticipating that the number of agentic payments could grow to 100 million within the next few years as infrastructure continues to improve.
