Vitalik Buterin Debuts Vibe Coded ETH Billboard Demo

Ethereum co founder Vitalik Buterin recently shared a new project that allows for anonymous posting on the blockchain. Using zero knowledge proofs on the Aztec network, the system lets users post messages while keeping their identity private. Buterin calls the build vibe coded, as he used AI tools to handle much of the technical heavy lifting.

The project features an anonymous billboard where a moderation system blocks rule violations without ever learning who wrote the message. This concept reflects ideas Buterin shared back in 2022 regarding privacy and zero knowledge proofs. He recently integrated this build into his broader focus on protecting user privacy against increasing government oversight.

While the market often looks for signs of growth from major industry figures, Buterin seems more interested in experimental code than market prices. The billboard actually includes a cheeky post questioning why he spends time on these side projects rather than pumping the price of Ether. For now, the experiment remains a prototype, but it highlights how Buterin continues to prioritize cryptographic research over short term price movements.
