Tennessee Pastor Charged With Stealing $350K in Church Funds

A former Tennessee church official is facing serious legal trouble after authorities accused him of taking hundreds of thousands of dollars in church funds. Paul Leo Tremblay worked as the financial stewardship pastor at Southall Church in Franklin, Tennessee. Local law enforcement began investigating the situation after church staff members raised financial concerns in August of 2025.

According to the Williamson County Sheriff Office, detectives believe Tremblay used the stolen money for personal expenses over several years. A grand jury indicted the fifty eight year old on September third, charging him with felony theft of property valued at $250,000 or more. Deputies later arrested him and placed him in the local criminal justice center on a $75,000 bond.

This case highlights the ongoing need for strict financial controls and oversight within non profit and religious organizations. Cases involving mismanaged funds often prompt groups to audit their accounts more closely. Tremblay is scheduled to make his next court appearance in Williamson County Circuit Court on September thirtieth.
