A Taiwan court sentenced a man identified as Shih to 22 years in prison for his role as the leader of the Cointhink Technology fraud ring. Shih served as the mastermind behind a scheme that misled investors and cost 1,539 people their funds. Alongside the leader, 14 other individuals faced indictments for their participation in the illegal operation.

The scam centered on deceptive practices involving USDT. By creating a false sense of security and using manipulated credentials, the group lured victims into parting with their assets under the guise of legitimate trading opportunities. The sheer scale of the operation drew significant attention from local authorities as the group systematically drained accounts across the region.
