A digital wallet holding over $36 million in stolen Bitcoin has turned into an unexpected message board. After a critical security bug in Coldcard hardware wallets allowed hackers to access private keys, the thief behind the heist began receiving various deposits from the public. So far, 14 of the 23 deposits sent to the wallet contained written messages. Other senders are using the address to advertise their own services, including offers to help launder the stolen funds in exchange for a fee. One user even attempted a classic AI jailbreak prompt, instructing the wallet to send its entire balance to a different address.

The thefts have reached massive proportions, with roughly 1,596 Bitcoin taken from around 7,300 affected addresses. Analysts estimate total losses are now topping $100 million due to the firmware vulnerability that weakened seed phrase security for years.
