Staten Island Man Survives Lightning Strike Without Injuries

A New York man is counting his lucky stars after surviving a direct lightning strike in Staten Island. Thomas Fahmy was walking toward his car on August 27 when a flash of light hit him, knocking him to the ground. Doorbell footage caught the intense moment, showing Fahmy recovering quickly enough to call for help.

Fahmy, who works for Representative Nicole Malliotakis, reported experiencing severe pain and numbness in his feet immediately after the strike. A nearby neighbor acted fast by calling 911. He spent one night at Northwell Staten Island University Hospital and was discharged the following day with no burns or lasting physical injuries.

After his recovery, Fahmy visited his church to express his gratitude for the miraculous outcome. In a lighthearted turn, he even decided to pick up a lottery ticket after cheating death. While this story is far removed from the crypto markets, it serves as a stark reminder that sometimes the most unpredictable events happen when we least expect them.
