Investors who bought SpaceX stock during the summer market recovery are still waiting to break even. A ten thousand dollar investment made on July 6, when shares traded at $160, would have bought 62.5 shares. At the current price of around $147, that same stake is worth approximately $9,188, leaving traders with a loss of about 8 percent.

SpaceX has seen huge price swings since its initial public offering in June. After debuting at $135, the stock jumped past $225 as early excitement pushed the valuation past two trillion dollars. That rally faded quickly, sending shares down to a low near $105 in August before buyers stepped back in to push prices toward the mid $140 range.

The initial sell off happened because of high valuations, heavy spending on artificial intelligence infrastructure, and insider selling after lock up periods ended. Even so, the company recently reported strong second quarter numbers with revenue climbing 92 percent to $7.8 billion, driven largely by Starlink subscriber growth and major government contracts.

Traders are now watching for upcoming catalysts, including Starship Flight 14 and potential new share releases from lock up expirations. Keep an eye on these developments to see if the stock can regain its early summer momentum.
