This move is part of the firm's ongoing Ten Year Plan, a treasury strategy that focuses on consistent accumulation of the flagship cryptocurrency. The latest acquisition cost the company approximately 2.7 million dollars.
With this latest addition, the total holdings for the UK based platform now stand at 2,747 Bitcoin. The company reports an average purchase price of 82,562 British pounds per coin. Since beginning this strategy, the firm has invested a total of 235.5 million pounds into Bitcoin while conducting only a small amount of sales.
To support its operations, the company holds a 20.5 million pound balance on a credit facility provided by Coinbase. This loan is secured by its existing Bitcoin stash and carries a variable interest rate of 6 percent. The company maintains the flexibility to repay these funds at any time without extra fees.
This purchase reflects a broader trend of corporate entities utilizing Bitcoin as a reserve asset. As Bitcoin prices hover near 77,000 dollars following a recent peak above 80,000, market observers are watching how these treasury holders manage their positions.
