Router Protocol to Shut Down and Burn 303 Million ROUTE

Router Protocol announced it will cease operations by September 30, 2026. After more than four years of development, the team behind the cross chain platform decided to wind down the project. This shutdown marks the end of their work on services like the Router Nitro bridge.

As part of the closing process, the team will permanently burn 303,333,198 ROUTE tokens currently held in their treasury. This move removes a significant volume of the total supply from circulation. The decision follows years of building infrastructure that spanned over 60 different blockchains.
