Bad actors took over the official X account of Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev to push a fraudulent memecoin called Vladhood, trading under the ticker VLAD. The scam token launched on a recently created chain, catching many traders off guard as the hacked profile lent false credibility to the project.

During the chaos, the fake token generated a massive trading volume reaching twenty two million dollars. The creator behind the scam managed to walk away with one point two million dollars in trading fees before authorities and platform security could regain control of the situation.
