Ripple Expands RLUSD Stablecoin Reach and AI Utility on XRPL

Ripple had a busy July, focusing heavily on its stablecoin strategy. The company expanded the reach of its dollar pegged RLUSD token by integrating with OpenUSD and securing approval from Japan’s Financial Services Agency. These moves, combined with a launch on four major South Korean exchanges, have helped the stablecoin reach a market capitalization of $1.6 billion as of early August.

To support this growth, the company launched Ripple Mint. This new platform gives banks and fintech firms a way to manage, issue, and redeem stablecoins. Furthermore, a strategic investment in the compliance firm Notabene suggests that Ripple is working hard to ensure these enterprise payment tools meet regulatory standards as they move across borders.

Beyond finance, the XRP Ledger is finding new life through technology. On July 22, data showed that the ledger surpassed 1.4 million transactions initiated by AI agents. This growth indicates that developers are increasingly using the network for autonomous machine to machine payments, signaling a shift toward more complex technical utility for the ecosystem.
