Ripple Expands Institutional Reach as XRP Holds $1.07

Ripple is doubling down on its institutional strategy with new investments in ZILO and Licuido. Both companies specialize in digital asset infrastructure, focusing on fund administration and tokenized collateral. By integrating these services into the XRP Ledger, Ripple aims to solidify its position as a settlement layer for traditional finance. The move is designed to support the issuance and custody of tokenized assets, with the RLUSD stablecoin playing a central role in instant settlement processes.

Elsewhere in the ecosystem, Mastercard finalized its acquisition of BVNK, a firm that has collaborated with Ripple since 2024. This merger is expected to further bridge the gap between traditional banking and digital assets. Additionally, Flare's wrapped XRP is now accepted as collateral in a $280 million lending vault managed by Sentora on Morpho Blue, allowing users to borrow RLUSD without selling their XRP holdings.

Market interest in XRP investment products remains positive but is noticeably slowing. July saw $27 million in net inflows for XRP exchange traded funds, a significant drop from the $132 million recorded in May. This suggests that institutional enthusiasm is currently cooling, even as investors maintain their exposure to the asset.

On the charts, XRP is currently trading near $1.07. Traders are watching the $1.05 support level closely, as failure to hold this area could lead to further downside. Analysts point to a potential falling wedge pattern on the long term charts, suggesting that while short term price action remains choppy, a move above the $1.12 resistance level is needed to regain bullish momentum.
