Ripple CTO Defends XRP Ledger Against Ghost Chain Claims

Ripple CTO Emeritus David Schwartz recently stepped up to defend the XRP Ledger after critics labeled the network a ghost chain. The label usually points to low activity or a lack of real users, but Schwartz pointed out that complaining about low fees makes very little sense for a payment network.

The original architect of the ledger made it clear that keeping costs down is actually the main goal of the technology. Fast and cheap transactions allow people to send value across borders without losing money to high gas costs, which plagues other popular networks during peak trading times.
