LIVERipple completed its latest monthly escrow release on August 1 by moving 1 billion XRP. Interestingly, the company reversed its typical workflow. This time, Ripple locked 700 million XRP back into escrow before finalizing the release of the total amount. By doing this, the company ensured that the net increase to the circulating supply remained at 300 million tokens.
Data shows that two transactions of 200 million and 500 million XRP were sent to escrow prior to the scheduled unlock. The company has followed this monthly pattern since 2017 to manage supply in a predictable way. Currently, over 32 billion XRP remain held in these time based contracts, while roughly 62.5 billion tokens are in circulation.
The market reaction was muted, as investors have come to expect these monthly adjustments. XRP saw a brief dip toward $1.04 before stabilizing near $1.07. While the price action remains flat, traders are watching for upcoming regulatory news and monitoring inflows into XRP focused investment products. For now, the market is keeping a cautious stance as participants wait for stronger momentum.
