LIVEFintech giant Revolut has started rolling out its first stablecoin pegged to the euro, called EURR. The new digital asset is currently available to a select group of customers in Denmark, Poland, and Portugal as part of an initial testing phase.
The digital euro is integrated directly inside the Revolut app, making it easy for users to access onchain assets. To launch this product, Revolut partnered with Bridge Building S.A., which serves as the regulated legal issuer and the counterparty responsible for redemptions.
As regulatory frameworks like MiCA reshape the digital asset space in Europe, compliance is becoming the main focus for top financial platforms. If the trial in Denmark, Poland, and Portugal goes well, a wider rollout across the rest of Europe could follow soon.
