Polish Authorities Charge Fifth Suspect in Zondacrypto Case

Polish prosecutors have officially charged a fifth individual as part of a significant investigation into the crypto exchange previously known as BitBay. The platform rebranded to Zondacrypto back in 2021 before running into major operational trouble later on.

The exchange halted all trading activities in April. This sudden move followed reports of customers facing frozen withdrawals and limited access to their funds. Investigators currently estimate that total losses for those affected reach at least 94 million dollars.
