OpenAI Revenue Hits New High in July

This growth comes from the popularity of new tools like the GPT 5.6 series, the ChatGPT Work enterprise agent, and increased usage of the Codex coding assistant.

Board chair Bret Taylor noted that the company is gaining ground against competitors. He pointed out that many developers are moving away from rival tools like Claude Code due to high costs. The firm has already taken steps toward an initial public offering by submitting a confidential S 1 registration to the SEC.
