LIVEEthereum co founder Vitalik Buterin published an updated draft for Ethereum Improvement Proposal 8141 on Sunday, aiming for the upcoming Hegota network upgrade. The proposal introduces frame transactions, allowing a single transaction to carry up to 64 steps in a fixed order. If any single step fails, the entire batch stops, preventing common errors like successful token approvals that fail during the actual swap.
Users will notice three major changes under this new system. First, wallets can detach accounts from original seed phrases, allowing users to recover access or rotate keys through trusted contacts or second devices. Second, paymasters allow third party apps to cover gas fees for newcomers. Third, the proposal adds P256 support, bringing phone security chips and passkeys closer to the core protocol.
Client teams have not yet set an activation date for the Hegota upgrade, with other gas limit priorities scheduled first. Ethereum traded near $2512 on Sunday, holding strong gains over the trailing ninety days. Traders should watch for further developer discussions regarding transaction formats as the network prepares for its next major milestones.
