MicroStrategy recently adjusted its balance sheet by selling 1,638 Bitcoin for about $105 million. The sales took place between July 27 and August 2 at an average price of $63,957 per coin. This move comes as the company focuses on bolstering its financial flexibility through its new Digital Credit Capital Framework.

The firm used the capital to add $250 million to its cash reserves, which now sit at $4 billion. Additionally, the company spent $81 million to repurchase its Variable Rate Series A Perpetual Stretch Preferred Stock. These actions are designed to help the firm manage debt interest and dividend payments without needing to sell its primary Bitcoin stash during market downturns.

As of August 2, 2026, MicroStrategy remains a major holder with 842,138 Bitcoin in its reserves. By increasing its USD duration and tightening credit metrics, the company aims to maintain a stable position. Investors will keep a close watch on whether this new strategy of selling small amounts of Bitcoin to support corporate debt becomes a standard pattern for the firm.
