MicroStrategy has gone five weeks without purchasing additional bitcoin. The company recently raised 544.5 million dollars by selling 5.4 million shares of its own stock. This move has pushed its cash reserve up to 3.75 billion dollars. The company also used some of these funds to buy back 25 million dollars of its preferred stock.

Despite the pause, the company remains the largest corporate holder of the asset, keeping its current stash at 843,775 bitcoin. These coins were acquired at an average price of 75,476 dollars. With the current market price hovering near 63,000 dollars, the company is focusing on strengthening its balance sheet rather than adding to its holdings.

This shift in strategy follows pressure on the company's funding model. Its preferred stock has been trading below the target level of 100 dollars, which makes it harder for the firm to issue new shares to fund coin purchases. Investors are now turning their attention to the upcoming second quarter earnings report scheduled for Thursday to see what management says next.
