Metaplanet is preparing for a major move into the American market by transforming Super League Enterprise into a Bitcoin treasury platform named Superplanet. The Japanese company plans to invest 2,100 BTC along with 2.5 million dollars in cash to secure control of the Nasdaq listed entity. If the deal closes, Metaplanet will own roughly 95.7 percent of the new company.

The core strategy focuses on using both the Japanese and American capital markets to grow its Bitcoin stockpile. Metaplanet intends to raise US dollars in the States while maintaining its yen based operations in Japan. The company suggests that this dual approach allows them to acquire more Bitcoin more efficiently while keeping the assets consolidated under the main group.

A central part of the plan involves issuing preferred shares to generate capital for further Bitcoin acquisitions. By doing this, the company aims to double its initial US treasury from 2,100 to 4,200 BTC. This could increase the amount of Bitcoin per share without the need to issue more common stock.

Investors should keep an eye on the regulatory timeline. The deal still requires approval from shareholders and Nasdaq officials before it can proceed. If everything goes according to plan, the company expects to launch these new operations in the final quarter of the year. Metaplanet currently holds 43,000 BTC, positioning itself as one of the largest corporate holders of the asset globally.
